Social Learner (Task 1)
As part of this course EDN113 task 1 involves the exploration of 3 technologies that I may use to fix a problem that iI have created. I need to find a technology that will help me solve the problem of uploading and sharing dance videos to a greater audience. These dance videos will be intended for an audience that wants to watch videos that teach, show and give demonstrations on how to stretch correctly and alignment corrections along with interesting dances by people that want to share their creativity an input into dance.
The 3 technologies that I explored for this task were; Facebook, Youtube and Google+. These 3 sites allow you to upload and share videos for the wider community to watch.
After exploring these 3 sites I made my decision to use Youtube. As I thought the other 2 were very good rescues they were both more based around showing the videos to friends that you already have on that site. Even though they are able to be shared to allow other people that you are not friends with to see it, it was open to the wider audience that I was looking for, that of dancers.
My decision for was based on the fact that Youtube allows videos to be seen by anyone that typed in key words relating to the video. With the purpose of people using youtube is to find videos relating to a specific topic that they are interested in. As my videos would cover a topic of dance this mean that dancers would be interested in this topic and research it and hopefully come across my videos.

Researcher (Task 2)
Task 2 for this unit required us to research different resource and referencing tools and create a screen cast on how to use a referencing tool. We were required to get into groups of four my group consisted of Hannah, Rachel, Janeea and myself. We were then asked to choose a learning area with ours being Art. Then we had to decide who was going to do each research source I choose the internet and google. I looked on google and found and interesting article on art and technology in the classroom.
Next I had to choose a reference tool that I could use to create my screen cast on this was very difficult as most of the tools were not compatible with the device that I had available. In the end I was able to use Mendeley as it work with a device that I was able to use to reference my paragraph on my website. (more about my difficulties in my blog)

Teacher Wiki (Task 3)
This task required us to form groups and to create a wiki on a project that we could do within a classroom using some form of technology. The group I was in for this task consisted of Hannah, Rachel, Janeea and myself. The learning area that we decided to focus on for this project was coking. With the baking of cookies and decorating them with icing all designed by the kids. Then allowing them to upload their creations onto a wiki page to show other classmates, teachers and parents. The assessment required us to create a wiki including the lesson plans of the project and the instructions needed to perform the project along with a narrated video that explained the use of the wiki and task.
